dj masda | Cabaret JP

1997年にDJを開始。大阪鶴の間で行われていたquopに参加、Steve Bug、Lawrence、Ata、Daniel Bellなどと共演。現在は東京Unit/SaloonでCabaretを主催。その他、田中フミヤのCHAOSのラウンジ、Elevenで開催されているDominoにレジデントとして参加中。リリースしたトラックはDaniel Bell、Lawrence等のプレイリストに組み込まれた。2013年、So Inagawaと共同レーベルの立ち上げを予定。

Since cut his djing teeth in mid-90s, Shizuoka-based dj masda have been developed his unique amalgamation of house and techno. In 2004 masda became a resident dj at Osaka's quop party where he shared decks with a number of international, talented djs such as Steve Bug, Lawrence, Ata and Daniel Bell aka DBX. masda's mixing skill is truly outstanding as if two vinyls are having a mutual, intimate talk each other. Not to mention his wide and unique selection of tracks, it's easy to see why he is respected as one of the finest dj amongst Japanese underground scene if you catch him playing at Tokyo's Cabaret party. In parallel to run his own Cabaret party in Tokyo, masda has residency in Room 2 at Fumiya Tanaka's CHAOS party.

Though his own production is known among only a handful djs around the world, his tracks like "In need indeed" has already become a secret weapon for djs such as Daniel Bell or Lawrence. In 2013 he prepares to launch his own label with So Inagawa. Watch out for him.

yone-ko(CABARET, Berlin DE)

洗練された技巧と新旧問わず優れた音源を発掘する鋭敏なセンスを高い次元で均衡させた、'90年代以降における日本のテクノ・シーンで培われた最良のタレントのひとり。
20世紀から21世紀への変わり目の頃にso inagawa & sackraiと出会い、彼ら2人がもともと名古屋で展開していたパーティ"CABARET"（現在でも盟友dj masdaのオーガナイズによって東京で継続中）に参加したことからミニマルな志向を持ったハウス・ミュージックへと傾倒。さらに活動の拠点を東京へと移し"CABARET"をはじめとするさまざまなパーティでのプレイを重ねるにつれて、ますます非主流派ハウスグルーヴ／テクノに熱中し深く掘り下げていくことになる。
新旧を問わない優れたグルーヴを追究する、そのほとんど偏執的とも言える姿勢によって発掘されたレコードたちがひとたび彼のセットの中でミックスされると、そこにはフレッシュな色彩と新たな文脈が与えられ、音楽そのものがにわかに輝きを帯びはじめる。それを支える技巧は、フロアーの現場におけるさまざまな局面を他の誰でもない彼自身が体験し鍛え上げてきたからこそのものだろう。
2011年単身ドイツに渡り、現在はベルリンの名物クラブClub der VisionaereやWilde Renateなどのヴェニューを中心にDJワークを展開し自らのDJスタイルを磨き上げるかたわら、自身のトラック制作にも深くフォーカスしており、2010年にリリースされ高い評価を得た"Raw Beats Required EP"以来となる新作のリリースが待たれる。

yone-ko(CABARET, Berlin DE)
Yone-ko aka Koji Yonezu is one of phenomenal talent, who soaked up finest elements of Japanese techno scene. His exquisite skills and smart sense that picks up every good records from old and new are something exceptional.
Around 2000, he hooked up with So Inagawa and Sackrai to participate their Cabaret party in Nagoya(which is still running by dj masda in Tokyo), that made him exploring deeper and minimalistic aspect of house music. He continued to play at Cabaret party and other underground parties after he moved to Tokyo, to dig further into alternative house groove and techno.
Yone-ko carefully builds up his hallmarked set and always seeks out good grooves around. This dedicated attitude may taken as monomaniacal, however, when those elaborately chosen records get played and mixed in his set, they will be given some vibrant colorfulness and renewed context and music itself starts to shine on the dance floor. The skills underneath this magic is the result of his own experiences as a tough-as-nails dj.
In 2011 he moved to Berlin and now he regularly plays around venues in world's techno capital, such as Club der Visionaere and Wilde Renate. He continues developing his own dj sets and focuses on his productions. After highly rated 2010's "Raw Beats Required EP", expectations are raising up higher than ever.
