90年代中期頃からDJとして活動を始める。Dj Barから野外まで独自の視点で形成される有機的なプレイを続け今を踊らせる。これまでにFuji Rock FestivalやBoiler Room、香港のCassio、ロンドンのNTS Radioなどに出演。ドイツでのツアーも成功させた。またプロデューサーとして様々な国のレーベルから楽曲やRemixを発表し、Nicola CruzによるRemixもリリース。それらの楽曲はいずれも高い評価を得てAndrew WeatherallをはじめAcid ArabやEYE, Jane Fitz, Dengue Dengue Dengue, Martha Van Straatenなど多くのDJにプレイされている。さらにadidas OriginalsやADAM ET ROPE’, BEAMS, EVISEN, HUF, SON OF THE CHEESEなどにも楽曲やMIXを提供。2021年には世界の伝統音楽を当世流に表現した新レーベル”SABI”を始動した。

Mamazu started his DJ carrier in the mid 90s, fully inspired by the dancers, sounds and visuals. He’s one of the few DJs in Japan that’s able to create an original organic groove whether in a small club or in an enormous open air festival, always presenting the avant-garde to the dance floor.
He has performed for Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, Boiler Room, Cassio in Hong Kong, NTS Radio in the UK and other influential platforms. Also releasing tracks/remixes from sound labels around the world, with tracks remixed by Nicola Cruz and many more. These recordings have been widely praised by producers globally, such as Andrew Weatherall mixing these tunes in his sets. Mamazu have been active in presenting tracks and mixes for brands such as adidas, ADAM ET ROPE’, BEAMS, EVISEN, HUF, SON OF THE CHEESE, to name a few. In 2021, he will start his own label, SABI
